Flush Mount & Surface Mount
Choosing the right mounting option for your WIF-Pro system is easy when you know the dimensions and space needed for installation. Here’s a quick guide:
Flush Mount Cut-In Box
- Faceplate size: 4.75” wide x 3.5” high
- Cut-out hole size: about 4.25” wide x 2.25” high
- Depth (including connectors): 4.75” deep
- Extra clearance needed: Allow about 3 more inches behind the box for cabling to connect straight in.
Best for a clean, built-in look where space is available behind the panel.
Surface Mount Box
- For 1–2 motors: 5.5” wide x 5.5” high x 2.25” deep
- For 3–4 motors: 7.5” wide x 5.5” high x 2.25” deep
- Clearance note: The 5.5” height includes the connectors at the bottom. Allow about 3 extra inches below the box for cable connections.
Best for simple installation on flat surfaces when a cut-in mount is not practical.
