WIF-Pro, WIF-Shield, WIF-Indicator, and related components are designed for early detection of water in marine fuel (“water-in-fuel”) and for protection of marine engines, filtration, and related systems. They are NOT a substitute for proper maintenance, nor do they guarantee that fuel will remain free of contamination under all circumstances.
Product effectiveness depends on correct installation in accordance with factory instructions.
✓ Improper installation, physical damage, unauthorized modifications, or use under extreme conditions may affect performance and void the warranty.
✓ Equipment may fail if operated outside the specified ranges of temperature, humidity, pressure, or other environmental factors.
✓ Water detection systems may produce false positives (detecting water when no severe risk exists) or false negatives (failing to detect water despite contamination) due to variations in fuel, blends, additives, density, dirt, temperature, vibration, or other factors.
✓ Visual and/or audible alerts are indicative of conditions that require further inspection and maintenance; they do not guarantee that the engine or system will remain fully safe.
✓ Certain products are designed to be used with specific systems (e.g., Racor filters, clear bowls, separators). Use with non-compatible components may reduce effectiveness or cause damage.
✓ Before purchase and/or installation, it is the user’s responsibility to verify compatibility with their engine, filter, bowls, electrical system (voltage), and local standards.
✓ WIF-Pro shall not be liable for damages, losses, accidents, engine failures, repair costs, operational interruptions, or any other consequences arising directly or indirectly from product use or product failure, except as otherwise required by applicable law.
✓ The buyer assumes all risks associated with product use, including unforeseen conditions or exceptional circumstances.
✓ Products are covered by a limited warranty (as stated in the current warranty policy) that covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, subject to stated conditions.
✓ This warranty does not cover misuse, modifications, incorrect installation, fuel contamination, or damage caused by external factors (environment, physical impact, etc.).
✓ To validate the warranty, the product must be registered within the specified period, proof of purchase must be kept, and manufacturer instructions must be followed.
✓ Some products comply with standards such as ABYC, USCG CFR, etc. This indicates they have passed certain fire, compatibility, or safety tests but does not guarantee compliance with all local regulations.
✓It is the user’s responsibility to ensure product installation and use complies with applicable laws, regulations, and standards in their jurisdiction.
✓ The company reserves the right to modify specifications, appearance, components, software, or any product feature without prior notice, provided that the main functionality is not materially affected.
✓ Future improvements or calibrations may require hardware/software updates.
